“We want to be loved. We want to belong. We owe it to each other.”

“We want to be loved. We want to belong. We owe it to each other.”

“We want to be loved. We want to belong. We owe it to each other.”

It’s my joy to share the lessons and stories I’ve encountered along my journey through this website and the Blaising View  blog.

WHAT MATTERS MOST

FRUITFUL LIFE

As a kid, I was determined to find and live a deeply satisfying life. My mother was angry most of the time. Her distress lit up our home like lightning. Dad and the rest of us were lightning rods. All I wanted was the same thing everybody else does. To be loved. To belong. To be at peace. I didn’t resolve the impact of my mother’s anger until I encountered the love of God through Jesus Christ. This encounter is what the New Testament calls “born again.”
At that moment, a person becomes a new creation. Realizing that God would forever forgive me and place His Spirit in my heart was mind-boggling. Yes, I’m still a mess! Just ask my children, my lovely wife, or my friends. But my heart is filled with His Spirit, love, peace, and forgiveness! That’s called being clear!

FRUITFUL RELATIONSHIP

Treasure came to me in these words, “The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without uncertainty or insincerity.” (James 3:17) When you trust your life to the one and only person, Jesus Christ, who defeated death, freedom unfurls like a champion rejoicing to run the race. Freedom is forgiveness. You can forgive everyone who has ever hurt you when God forgives you. Imagine waking up daily knowing God’s Spirit is in your heart. “Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1Co 3:16)

FRUITFUL WORK

When you are loved, forgiven, and set free by God, you can be fruitful in your work. Relationships function best in a culture of mutual support. You can perform at the highest level when you are free from bitterness, grudges, hate, conflict, or resentment.

FRUITFUL RESULTS

Whether a Christian works at home or in the marketplace, they are not alone. The Spirit of God is present with power, with hope, and with love. Loneliness is only an emotion and not a fact anymore. With God’s presence, anything is possible at any time. When anything is possible, you see why Jesus said, “He who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do because I go to the Father.” (John 14:12)
